Information we collect

Account creation collects your first and last name, email, required ZIP code, optional mobile number, consent records, and communication choices. Repeated entries help check accuracy and are not stored as separate contact records. Appointment requests include the chosen salon, date, time, service, name, email, optional phone number, and any note you provide. Avoid adding sensitive information to a note.

We use public establishment records and official business websites for salon listings and business email evidence. When you search a drive, the addresses you enter are sent to mapping and routing providers to find locations and driving directions. Do not enter an address you do not wish to share with those providers.

How we use and share information

We use this information to verify sign-in, save requests, contact the selected salon, send appointment updates, allow verified salon management, and prevent abuse. Your chosen salon receives your request and contact details. We do not send your appointment to every salon. A hashed network identifier and request timestamps support rate limits.

Service providers include Vercel for hosting, Firebase for authentication, Supabase for the database, Resend for transactional email, and MapTiler/OpenStreetMap-related services for mapping and geocoding. Driving routes use OSRM. These providers process information needed for their roles. The site also loads web fonts and platform scripts that may receive standard browser/network information.

Storage and account security

Firebase uses browser storage to maintain sign-in. We may store the sign-in email and an unfinished signup locally so an email link can complete account creation. Private account and appointment records are accessed through the server with authentication or an unguessable request link. Please keep those links private. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

Optional marketing email is off unless you select it. You can update your communication choices in your account. A mobile number is optional, and this version does not send automated texts. Appointment emails authorized by a request and sign-in verification emails are necessary for those actions. Optional usage analytics uses Firebase Analytics / Google Analytics only after you allow it. It measures public page visits, referral categories (including identifiable AI referrals), directory and account-link clicks, phone-link clicks, and appointment request starts and saves. A saved request is not a confirmed appointment. Analytics is not initialized on private account or appointment-status pages. We do not send appointment notes, entered contact details, route-search addresses, or private request tokens as analytics events. Public page URLs sent to analytics exclude query strings and fragments. Optional analytics may use browser identifiers and cookies. Use Analytics preferences in the footer to change your choice; declining does not prevent booking. We do not sell your personal information or operate an advertising audience from it.

Retention, access, and deletion requests

We retain information as needed to provide accounts and appointments, maintain consent and security records, and meet applicable obligations. To request access, correction, export, or deletion, contact david@codexdeus.com. We may need to verify your identity and may retain records where required or permitted by law. Salons maintain their own records under their own policies.
